Ram Dass:
Ram Dass also known as Baba Ram Dass, was an American spiritual teacher, guru of modern yoga, psychologist, and author. His best-selling 1971 book, Be Here Now, which has been described by multiple reviewers as "seminal", has sold two million copies and helped popularize Eastern spirituality and yoga with the baby boomer generation in the West. He authored or co-authored twelve more books on spirituality over the next four decades, including Grist for the Mill (1977), How Can I Help? (1985), and Polishing the Mirror (2013).
Dass was personally and professionally associated with Timothy Leary at Harvard University in the early 1960s.
In 1967, Alpert traveled to India and became a disciple of Hindu guru Neem Karoli Baba who gave him the name Ram Dass, meaning "Servant of Ram". In the coming years, he founded the charitable organizations Seva Foundation and Hanuman Foundation. He traveled extensively giving talks and retreats and holding fundraisers for charitable causes in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. In 1997, he had a stroke which left him with paralysis and expressive aphasia. He eventually grew to interpret this event as an act of grace, learning to speak again and continuing to teach and author books. After becoming seriously ill during a trip to India in 2004, he gave up traveling and moved to Maui, Hawaii, where he hosted annual retreats with other spiritual teachers until his death.

Frank Coppieters Bio:
Frank Coppieters, Ph.D. is the director of the Living Light spiritual center which he started in 1986 in Portland, Oregon. He is a native of Belgium where he taught graduate students full time at the University of Antwerp in Theory of Literature, History of Drama and Non-Verbal Communication.
He also started a center where teachers and artists came who were developing new forms of energy work. It was through participating in their classes that Frank became engrossed in the body/mind/spirit connection. This led to extensive meditation practices, the search for various spiritual teachers and for a livelihood where he could offer his experience to others.
One of the teachers Frank worked with was Joska Soos. Joska, comes from the Hungarian Bacsa tradition of shamanism and is also a renowned visionary painter. After studying for several years with him Frank was formally initiated into shamanism. Currently Frank is offering shamanic classes and sessions to help bring people into balance and access higher levels of consciousness.
In 1985 Frank married Kathy Melcher and immigrated to the United States. It was the next year that he started the Living Light Center. In 1989 he was initiated as a Reiki Master by Phil Morgan in the traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho system as taught by Phyllis Furumoto and Paul Mitchell and has been teaching Reiki classes in the USA, Belgium, France and England. Frank works as an intuitive counselor, shaman and Reiki practitioner and always focuses on the empowerment of his clients and students. He helps people to access their inner teacher and to work creatively with the challenges that are happening in their lives.

Dr. Alexander "Sasha" Theodore Shulgin or "Shura" was an American chemist, pharmacologist, psychopharmacologist, and author.
Over the span of 50 years, he created more new psychedelic drugs than any other known person to date - nearly 250 by his own accounts.
Shulgin also rediscovered the drug MDMA and established its use as a tool in clinical psychedelic therapy for a short time. He has written two books detailing his endeavors, PiHKAL and TiHKAL, and also contributed numerous highly appraised chemical assays and studies throughout the years.
Shulgin is best known for synthesizing the psychoactive drugs 2C-T-7, 2C-B, 2C-E, 2C-I, DOM and hundreds of others. Due in part to Shulgin's extensive work in the field of psychedelic research and the rational drug design of psychedelic drugs, he has since been dubbed the "godfather of psychedelics".
